How Jake smashed his weight loss goals in 4 months

Sometimes it takes a shocking slap from reality to notice we have slipped into a pattern of negative behaviour. This was certainly the case for one of our clients, Jake.

“I woke up one day, stepped on the scales and saw that I had gotten to the 100kg mark. It was then that I realised I needed to make a change.”

This wake-up call brought Jake to Hive Activ with the goal of losing weight. He initially signed up for our 2020 Spring Sting Challenge. However, after loving the progress he saw in that time, he decided to commit long-term. Jake has now been with us for four months, attending our group fitness classes and two personal training sessions a week with coach Matt Tyson. In that time, he has seen a weight loss of 13kgs.

“I have lost way more weight than I ever expected too. I feel amazing, and pretty accomplished too. I feel as if I have come such a long distance in such a short amount of time.”

It has been a pleasure to watch Jake smash his goals out of the park. But it has been even more rewarding to watch him evolve into a brighter, more confident version of himself. He has become a loved member of our community and is a bright spark in our group sessions.
